mike worked for ten years in hospitals throughout the United States in the field of radiology, where he refined his imaging skills. Running from the cold winters he ended up in Buenos Aires to seek adventure with Jeff and Dominic.
jeff was a derivatives trader for a small trading company in Chicago. Traveling and HDTivo viewing helped him deal with the stressful life of a trader. In 2004, after working 7 years in the finance industry, he quit his job, sold his Chicago apartment and HDTV setup, and moved to Buenos Aires to explore South America with Mike and Dominic.
tamir was born in the 8th moon of the Serpent Cycle of the Mayan Calendar. He is a Planetary Wizard. After traveling the world (Mexico, Miami, Israel, China, Argentina) for several years, he decided to live in Buenos Aires. There he hosted a few shows on Argentine television but he wasn’t happy with "that kind of TV". He felt his creativity was underutilized. "Nothing's different ... there's no challenge at all".

Executive Producer Miguel J. Baldez explains, "What led to Motamorfosis?"
Jeff and Mike befriended each other in Chicago during a three day power outage in the hot summer of 2003. After 21 uncomfortable flights of stairs in the dark it turned out they lived right across the hall from each other. After several successful international journeys together they decided to take a two month break from the working life to explore Argentina. They chose the Canon EOS 10D to document their adventures.
Arriving in Buenos Aires, their tour guide told them about another American guy who had left his NYC finance job eight months earlier and was traveling around Latin America indefinitely. Upon meeting and kicking back a few caiprinias, Dominic, Mike, and Jeff decided: 'Vamos a la playa' (Let's go to the beach!).
Pinamar, Argentina opened their eyes to the fact that bikini clad Latina ladies love to pose for cameras. Ironically, Tamir, a TV host for Fox Sports Latin America, was intrigued enough to interview the Americans for his program after he saw them taking photographs and flirting with the girls in spanglish.
Life back in the USA proved hard for Mike and Jeff. Back at work, all they could do was surf Dominic's web site which continued to grow with photos of his travels. After a few months they could not take it anymore and decided to take indefinite leaves from the working world and to join Dominic traveling around South America. Before departing from the USA some last minute Amazon.com shopping was needed to outfit them with the latest Canon photography equipment in order to thoroughly document the journey.
Pinamar 2005 was supposed to tip off a year of traveling, meeting beautiful girls, experiencing new cultures, and snapping some great photos for the three adventurers. Little did they know while partying in a Pinamar nightclub Tamir was about to interview them for the second time. Coincidentally, Tamir needed a photographer for a bikini shoot the following afternoon. The new Canon EOS 20D got a workout while inspired ideas started to take shape. With four minds together, the seed was planted that evolved into Motamorfosis Productions.
